Delight in this vibrant city of ornate Victorian and Edwardian architecture, gracious gardens and friendly pubs. Thrill to the natural phenomenon of the Giants’ Causeway, a stunning geological anomaly of tightly packed, uneven basalt columns disappearing into the sea, and the enigmatic ruins of Grey Abbey.

Donegal’s scenic fishing village, Killybegs is situated in a region marked by natural beauty and rich in Celtic heritage. Discover thatched Irish cottages and picturesque Gaeltacht villages, not to mention super fresh seafood and beautiful stretches of coastline with Blue Flag beaches. Get a sense of the town’s history and see the world’s largest hand-knotted loom at the former factory of Donegal Carpets, now known as Killybegs International Carpet Making & Fishing Centre. Nature lovers will want to head to hiking trails of dramatic Slieve League Mountains just west of Killybegs – those up for the adventure will be rewarded with stunning views of Donegal Bay, local wildlife and some of the highest sea cliffs in Europe.
15 Excursions available including: Go Fishing With a Local and Wild Donegal & Glencolmcille
Known for its beautiful natural harbor and quaint, brightly painted shops and homes, Loch Dunvegan is a lovely setting for a scenic getaway. As is true for the rest of the Isle of Skye, the town of Dunvegan holds strong to its ancestral roots, celebrating Nordic traditions and family lineage. The reverent grandeur of Dunvegan Castle tells the tale of more than 800 years of MacLeod family history. Diverse populations of seals may also be found just a boat ride away on the loch itself.
10 Excursions available including: Iconic Eilean Donan Castle & the West Highlands and Talisker Distillery & Beautiful North West Skye
Enjoy a taste of the Highlands here in the rugged landscape and heathered moors, the ruined castles, steep cliffs and sea air. Drive through beautiful valleys and flower-filled meadows with romping Shetland ponies to quaint villages like Scalloway with its ruined castle, or explore the fascinating Jarlshof prehistoric site, occupied for more than 4,000 years.
10 Excursions available including: Shetland Ponies & Scalloway Castle and Mousa Island Discovery
In 1904 much of Ålesund was destroyed by fire, but the town was quickly rebuilt in the period’s popular Art Nouveau style. Soaring turrets, spires and beautiful ornamentation adorn the buildings throughout Ålesund, giving it a distinctive flair and earning the town a revered architectural reputation. An evening departure allows you plenty of time to explore its many attractions, such as the spectacular Art Nouveau Centre museum, scenic Town Park, and Atlantic Sea Park, one of Europe’s largest aquariums. For a look at modern Norwegian woodworking, visit the impressive Gallery Cylindra. Many of Ålesund’s squares feature sculptures commemorating significant events, including the town’s rich fishing history and Norway’s contribution to World War II.
15 Excursions available including: Majestic Journey Over Trollstigen Road and Oceania Exclusive – Alesund & the Sunnmore Museum
Geiranger nestles in a small valley at the inland tip of Geirangerfjord, which is unabashedly called “the most beautiful fjord in the world.” The scenery is absolutely stunning in every direction, so it’s no wonder that the first cruise ship arrived here in 1869. Snow-mantled mountains rise majestically from the glacier-carved fjord. The Seven Sisters waterfalls burst forth from the cliffs and thunder into the deep, serene water. Emerald-green forests blanket the hillsides. If you are feeling ambitious, you might follow one of the many nature trails out of Geiranger, or simply take in the magnificent views as you meander through the storybook streets.
15 Excursions available including: Majestic Mount Dalsnibba & Djupvasshytta Lodge and Best of Geiranger Fjord
Situated between one of the largest glaciers in Europe and the rugged Stad Peninsula, Nordfjordeid is your jumping off point to explore one of the most beautiful places in the world. The UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord awaits you to the northeast, while icy glaciers flow into spectacular valleys to the southeast – you won’t have a moment to put down your camera. Something as simple as visiting a deer farm takes on a whole new meaning when you are surrounded by towering mountain ranges, and taking a leisurely hike will be the most memorable experience of your life when you are embraced by sheer rocky cliffs over which roaring waterfalls cascade.
9 Excursions available including: Loen Panoramas By Skylift and Briksdal Glacier By Troll Car
Surrounded by steep mountains, thundering waterfalls, and emerald-green valleys, tiny Flåm clings to the innermost point of Sognefjord, Europe’s longest, deepest fjord. It’s a fairy tale setting that can be enjoyed many ways. Hike a nature trail in scenic Flåm Valley. Kayak through the fjord’s crystalline waters. Ride the Flåm Railway, one of the world’s steepest, as it loops through the virgin wilderness, just as it has since the 1940s. Visit Otternes Bygdetun, a rural museum of more than 20 farm buildings that look much like they did in the 18th century.
Over 15 Excursions available including: Kayaking in Flam and Fabulous Fjords & Mountains
Chosen as the European Capital of Culture in 2008, Stavanger lies in southwestern Norway’s stunning fjord region. Old Stavanger has been meticulously preserved with many of its wooden cottages converted into art galleries and boutiques. But it’s the museums that set this cosmopolitan city apart. The Stavanger Museum alone consists of eight buildings exhibiting collections that include maritime, medical and printing artifacts. Outdoor enthusiasts may enjoy walking the nature trails along the banks of nearby Lysefjorden, a classic fjord, or beholding the amazing view of the countryside from Pulpit Rock.
Over 15 Excursions available including: Mosteroy Island & the Utstein Monastery and The Stavanger Archipelago and Lysefjord
Founded in 1641 near the southern tip of Norway, Kristiansand once claimed the world’s largest fleet of sailing ships. Today the proud city exudes an energy that peaks in summer, when your ship calls. The Posebyen old quarter boasts a collection of historic wooden houses surrounded by shops and restaurants. Museums abound and include the Agder Museum of Natural History and Botanical Garden, which opened in 1828. Kristiansand Zoo, said to be Norway’s most visited attraction, covers 150 acres of Nordic terrain where animals like red pandas, moose and Bactrian camels roam in wide-open spaces.
15 Excursions available including: Lillesand By Land & Sea and Setesdal Mineral Park
A centuries-old fishing village, Skagen is perched along the windswept sand dunes at the northernmost point of Denmark, where the North Sea and the Baltic merge in a frenzy of crashing currents. The town has long been depicted by painters because of its spectacular scenery, charming communities and the remarkable quality of its light, inspiring a group of artists known as the Skagen Painters. See their work at the Skagen Museum, and then learn the science behind the region’s natural wonders at the nature center, housed in a striking building designed by architect Jørn Utzon of Sydney Opera House fame.
Over 15 Excursions available including: Saeby and Voergaard Castleand Skagen By Bike
Overlooking a gorgeous fjord, Norway’s capital and largest city simply radiates with natural beauty and sophistication. Oslo’s rich seafaring history is on display at the Viking Ships Museum, rivaled only by the Kon-Tiki Museum, which holds the balsawood raft that Norwegian adventurer Thor Heyerdahl used to sail from Peru to Polynesia. History aside, Oslo exudes a love of the outdoors in city parks like Vigeland, which is adorned with over 200 life-size sculptures by artist Gustav Vigeland. Much of Oslo is heavily forested with pines, making it one of Europe’s greenest cities.
